What's included
We clear the whole shop or just the areas you choose. Typical items include:
• Shelving, gondolas, wall racks and display units
• Counters, till desks, cash-wrap units and shop furniture
• Clothes rails, mannequins, hangers and display stands
• Back-room storage, stockroom shelving and cupboards
• Desks, chairs and filing cabinets from the back office (see Furniture Disposal)
• Fridges, display coolers and other equipment (see Electronic Waste Disposal)
• Signage that is free-standing or already taken down, plus boxes, packaging and general clutter
Who this service is for
Shop clearances usually follow a business decision with a firm date. Typical customers are:
• Retailers closing down. The unit must be empty when the lease ends.
• Shops relocating. Old fittings stay behind when you move to new premises.
• Owners refitting or rebranding. Old displays and shelving must go before the new layout goes in.
• Landlords and property managers. A former tenant's fittings need removing before the next one arrives.

Why choose this service
Timed around your lease
Shop leases end on fixed dates. We agree a collection window that fits your handover, so you are not left with an unfinished clearance and a landlord waiting for the keys.
We handle the bulk
Shops hold many repeated items, from shelving bays to display units and rails. We send enough people to move them efficiently, so the job finishes quickly and you do not have to lift anything.
Tidy and considerate
Many shops sit on busy streets or in shopping centres with shared loading areas. We protect floors where needed and keep access routes clear, so the clearance does not disturb neighbouring businesses.
How it works
From first message to an empty shop, there are four steps:
1. Request a quote. Describe the shop, the floor and loading access, and send photos of the sales floor and stockroom.
2. Receive a fixed price. We confirm the cost in writing, so you know the total before you commit.
3. We collect. Our team arrives in the agreed window and carries everything on your list out of the shop.
4. Responsible hand-over. We transport the items and hand them over to an appropriate licensed recycling or disposal point.
How to prepare for your clearance
-
Sell, return or move any stock you still want before collection day.
-
Decide which fittings stay, and mark or separate those items clearly.
-
Tell us which fittings are still fixed to walls or floors, and which are already detached.
-
Check with your landlord or centre management about loading access, lift booking and any allowed hours.
-
Clear the route from the shop floor and stockroom to the exit.
Leftover stock and fixed fittings
Two points often change the plan. First, leftover stock: tell us what is left and in what amount, so we can confirm whether we can collect it. Second, fixed fittings such as wall-mounted shelving, built-in counters or shopfront signage: please tell us whether they are already detached, because that affects the time and the price.
Items that need special handling
Some materials cannot go in a standard load. These include paint, solvents and other chemicals, gas bottles, batteries and asbestos-containing materials. Fridges, display coolers and large screens also need careful handling. Please mention them when you request your quote, so we can confirm what we can take and what needs a separate arrangement.
Pricing
The price depends mainly on these factors:
|
Factor |
What it means |
Effect |
|
Volume |
The number of shelving bays, displays and items to remove |
More items need more time, crew and vehicle space |
|
Access |
The floor, loading route, and whether there is a lift or only stairs |
Longer or harder routes add handling time |
|
Parking and loading |
How close our vehicle can stop to the entrance |
A longer carry distance adds time |
|
Fixed or loose fittings |
Whether items are already detached or still fixed in place |
Items ready to carry take less time |
Small shop clearances start from . The exact price is always confirmed by quote before booking, and photos or a short list are usually enough to give you a firm figure.
